Hobsons Bay NTH update APR25

 WHERE ARE WE TODAY?

Although we have been doing a lot here at Hobson's Bay, I have been struggling with adding to this blog for almost a year. Windows 11 is a pain in the ass!

Anyway after the loss of a hard drive and several programs that assisted me in my efforts, its about time to try and get something working again.

Random Stuff

 AND SOME MORE
The long wait is over! I ditched the Eureka K Class and purchased the much improved SDS version. I am extremely happy with these little beauties!

Thanks to Will James for a quick delivery of some gum trees.  Buy them here!

I  will now sort out a video to show you all the scenery we have installed in the last few months.

But first I have just found two electrical failures that need my attention. The Led lighting over Wodonga station has failed due to overheated spade conectors (I think)  And the newly rewired Alandale Station to Badaginnie section is shorted with the adjacent SG track...  BUGGER!!!

Cheers

Rod

  1. isolate the SG DCC then try the affected section. then do the opposite. Then isolate it all so you can use a multimeter on continuity to see if they are connected. This is a big thing as you need all locos and anything that has a light or resister on them. all off the track. Good luck Rod :) (BTW the Eureka K is a SDS one effectively - but eureka's version were limited, SDS had a great selection)
