Happenings since August are due, I guess?
So lets see what is happening here at Hobsons Bay North. (Pictures I guess?)
My new computer has changed things around, or maybe the Blog update has done it. However whatever has happened has made an easy job much more difficult, hence my lack of recent posts. But let me try one more time :(
Powerline Steam Y Class
Really like the look of this tiny loco. Seems to pull a realistic sized train and sounds ok.
Graeme continues with his scenery at Apex Quarry and behind the Wodonga Loop.
Using foam and cutting it to shape to form terrain.
Hot wire helps to form shape
Test fitting the highway bridge.
After the foam is shaped it is covered with paper towels and sculptor mold (proprietary mix of paper mache and plaster)
APEX Quarry
Planning out the Apex Quarry (Using Graeme's #D printer)
And Alan and I wasted a few months upgrading wiring and servo motors.
But recently we started some scenery projects on the Wodonga (to Albury) side of layout.
Wodonga Sale yards
Have done very little scenery in past 30 years. But using Woodland Scenics and being hamstrung by lack of materials, Al and I produced the following effects. WE are pretty happy with the results.
I got a bit carried away and did House Creek as well.
At same time Al tackled the Murray River.
Monument Hill ???
And so despite lack of posts :( We have been moving right along.
Interestingly we are running trains and track is behaving itself. We do need to tweak a few spots before we start ballasting, especially on the branch.
Cheers
Rod
